Faith-based investor Wespath chooses Canoe Intelligence for operationally efficient alts workflows

May 6, 2025

NEW YORK, May 6, 2025 – Canoe Intelligence (“Canoe”), the platform for smarter alts management, today announced a new client engagement with Illinois-headquartered Wespath, one of the largest faith-based pension funds in the world, serving more than 100,000 retirement participants and over 150 nonprofit organizations.

Wespath is implementing Canoe Connect to automate its alternative investment document collection workflow into a centralized location and Canoe Intelligence to systematize its valuation and transaction data extraction processes.

After searching for technology that could help its team achieve greater operational efficiency, Wespath ultimately selected Canoe for its ability to not only centralize all of the team’s documents in one place but also streamline the process of collecting those documents.

“We needed a complete solution that addressed collection, centralization and delivery of data and we found that with Canoe,” said Amy Bulger, Director of Private Markets at Wespath. “We are excited to integrate Canoe into our processes and look forward to seeing the impact of Canoe Connect and Canoe Intelligence in increasing our operational efficiency.”

“Today, we’re welcoming Wespath to Canoe’s growing community of 400+ alternative investors,” said Christopher Jones, Chief Revenue Officer at Canoe Intelligence. “We are always thrilled to help large capital allocators like Wespath better manage complex alternatives document and data management workflows and free up the team’s time to focus on higher value activities.”

On July 9th, Canoe completed its Series C financing round of $36 million, led by Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives. This marks a significant milestone for Canoe, representing a more than 3x increase in its company valuation. The additional capital will fuel Canoe’s strategic initiatives, global growth, and advancement of its AI-driven financial technology platform for alternative investors.

As of the end of 2024, Canoe proudly operated in eight countries and 31 US states to support clients across more than two dozen countries. Today, Canoe supports over 1,000 LPs, 44,000 funds, 750,000 commitments, and $8T+ in AUM/AUA across its global client base. On behalf of clients, Canoe processes 50M+ documents and extracts 300M+ data points annually.
