NEW YORK, June 30, 2025 Canoe Intelligence (“Canoe”), the platform for smarter alts management, today announced the appointment of Jim Eliason as its new Chief Financial Officer. Eliason will report directly to Canoe’s CEO, Jason Eiswerth, and will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial strategy and operations as it continues to grow and expand rapidly.

Most recently, he served as CFO of Device42, Inc., a private equity-backed enterprise software company, from 2019 to mid-2024, culminating in the company’s sale to Freshworks, Inc. Prior to that, he was CFO of Datawatch Corporation, a publicly traded company on Nasdaq, from 2013 to 2018, which Altair Engineering, Inc. acquired at the end of 2018. Eliason has also held senior finance positions at Qvidian Corporation, Desktone, Inc., Empirix, Inc., Narad Networks, Inc., and Silverstream Software, Inc., and began his career as an auditor at Arthur Andersen & Co.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Jim Eliason to Canoe as our Chief Financial Officer,” said Jason Eiswerth, CEO of Canoe. “Jim will be instrumental in driving our financial strategy as we continue to scale and build upon our recent successes. His deep expertise and proven leadership, including an impressive six roles at the CFO level across notable companies, will be critical as we navigate Canoe’s next phase of growth and work towards achieving our ambitious goals.”

“Joining Canoe at such an exciting time in the company’s trajectory is a true privilege,” said Jim Eliason. “From my perspective, Canoe’s compelling vision, substantial target addressable market, and, in particular, the deep relationships with top-tier investors like Goldman and Fidelity, underscore what a truly special opportunity this is. What the team has built here is remarkable, and I’m eager to contribute to our continued success and market leadership.”

Born and raised in Massachusetts, Eliason holds an MBA in Finance from Bentley University – Elkin B. McCallum Graduate School of Business and a B.S. in Accounting from Providence College. He is also a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Massachusetts.
