Warana Capital Automates Document Collection and Data Extraction Workflows with Canoe Intelligence
NEW YORK, November 2, 2023 – Canoe Intelligence (“Canoe”), the financial technology company powering alternative investment intelligence, today announced a new client engagement with Warana Capital (“Warana”), an investment manager with offices in New York City, Los Angeles, London, and Sydney.
Warana has implemented Canoe Connect to automate its document collection workflow and Canoe Intelligence to systematize its data extraction process, both intended specifically for its account statements, capital calls, and distributions.
Prior to their Canoe implementation, the Warana team relied on their administrator(s) and/or their internal document and data management workflow for their investments, which was mostly manual. Members of the operations team spent hours each month on the document collection process—which included managing passwords and other forms of authentication, logging into portals to download the documents, and storing and renaming each file—and the data extraction process, which involved copying the data from each document into internal Excel records.
Warana is the latest addition to Canoe’s client roster. Today, the firm works with over 275 institutional investors, asset servicers, capital allocators, and wealth managers in North America, Europe, and Asia.
